Relive Most Emotional Endgame Moment as Cast Share New Photos & Set Video

Tony Stark’s funeral was an emotional scene in Avengers: Endgame. However, it wasn’t all doom and gloom behind-the-scenes, as proven by some images and video shared by Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans. The three actors took some time out of their day to provide a pretty funny look at a scene some of them thought was originally going to be a wedding. Out of the three, Ruffalo and Holland are definitely the ones who were kept in the dark about the death aspect.

Tom Holland shared a video of himself, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Chris Evans with their phones out recording each other while telling themselves to put their phones away. Benedict Cumberbatch can be seen laughing as his co-stars goof off while Don Cheadle pops up later on. While they were there for one of the most emotional scenes in the MCU’s history, they were all having a pretty good time taking “illegal” Avengers: Endgame videos on the set. Holland had this to say about the day.

“I don’t know why I’m so stressed posting this. The movie is already out. I guess when Barry said no cameras we all heard bring your cameras. Hands down the most memorable day of my career and still to this day, the strangest wedding I’ve ever been to.”

Chris Evans posted his version of the video that Tom Holland shared and Mark Ruffalo shared some other random pictures and video from the moment. Ruffalo captioned his photos by stating, “we’re filming a wedding, they said.” It’s actually pretty surprising that the Bruce Banner actor and Tom Holland were even allowed to have their cellphones on the set of Avengers: Endgame. The two have a pretty solid reputation for spoiling pretty substantial moments from the MCU over the years, though they both have done a pretty good job as of late. With that being said, many fans are still hoping Holland will spoil something about Spider-Man: Far From Home in the near future.

While the cast was all having fun making Avengers: Endgame, keeping the secrets ended up being pretty hard during the press tour. Even Scarlett Johansson admitted to stressing out during interviews, which would later keep her up at night wondering if she said something she wasn’t supposed to say. It must have felt like a huge weight was lifted when the movie finally came out and hardcore fans were able to see it and discuss it openly. Marvel Studios goes to great lengths to keep everything under wraps, but they also put a lot of trust into their cast and crew.

Avengers: Endgame is now the second-highest grossing movie of all time and it looks like it may end up staying there. The movie is currently sitting at $2.72 billion, which is almost to Avatar‘s $2.78 billion. However, Endgame has fallen quite a bit since it hit theaters in April and there are doubts it will be able to get up to the number one spot. Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters early next month and may give Endgame the extra boost that it needs, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe Marvel Studios has some tricks up their sleeves. Until then, you can check out the funeral behind-the-scenes image and video below.
