IMAX presentation of Spider-Man: Far From Home to web up 26% more action

When Peter Parker web-swings onto the big screen for Sony and Marvel’s SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, those who see the movie in IMAX theaters will experience select sequences of the film with 26% more picture than standard theatres. To be precise, IMAX says that at least 40 minutes worth of the film will present fans with more web-slinging action, thanks to the theater’s exclusive format.

As an added bonus to the news, IMAX has also debuted specially-designed artwork for their presentation of Marvel’s next box office behemoth, which you can see for yourself below.

Helmed by SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING director Jon Watts, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME sees Peter Parker traveling aborad for a school trip following the death of Avengers co-founder and mentor, Tony Stark. In the wake of Tony’s death, Spider-Man continues to struggle when finding his place among Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, that is until Nick Fury recruits the Friendly Neighborhood wall-crawler for an overseas adventure. As new and menacing threats come into his life, Peter will have to do whatever a spider can while coping with the fact that since becoming a hero, his life has changed forever.

The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, Zendaya as Michelle Jones, aka MJ, Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.

SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME will swing into theaters, with 26% more action exclusively in IMAX theaters on July 2, 2019.
