Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio, has quickly become a fan-favorite MCU character. Comic book fans always knew he was destined to become the main antagonist in Spider-Man: Far From Home, but the promotional material for the sequel did an excellent job of trying to hide that fact. Still, when the big reveal is made, it was still a surprise for many fans sitting in theaters. But, there were some clues right in front of our faces that most of us missed. The big one now is how Beck was spotted much earlier in the movie than thought.
In Venice, Peter Parker wants to locate and purchase a Black Dahlia necklace for MJ. It’s all a part of his romantic plan in Spider-Man: Far From Home. As Parker goes off on his own to find the necklace, he is the focus of the scene while there are other tourists walking around him. One eagle-eyed MCU fan has located Quentin Beck spying on Parker during this particular scene and backed it up with evidence. Beck is clearly there, scoping out Parker before unleashing Hydro-Man on Venice.

Mysterio pulled off the ultimate illusion when he framed Peter Parker during the mid-credits scene and many are wondering what this will mean for the character moving forward in the MCU. One thing is for sure: things are going to be a lot more complicated for Parker in the future.
Spider-Man: Far From Home officially concludes the MCU’s Phase 3. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige will be appearing at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend to discuss the future of the MCU and unveiling some new surprises. Hall H is going to be the place to be as Feige more than likely announces the standalone Black Widow movie, The Eternals, Shang-Chi, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Doctor Strange 2, and Black Panther 2.
