We’ve been hearing about this mysterious Breaking Bad movie for a while now, with show creator Vince Gilligan even assuring it was in the works, but we haven’t heard or seen a peep about it. Stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston even teased us a bit, but it turned out to be a joint liquor venture instead. Then, days ago, Saul himself, Bob Odenkirk, said that the movie was already filmed and he was surprised no one knew as much. Well, now the cat is that much further out of the bag with this new teaser, which not only lets us know it actually exists (and when we can see it), but also hints at where it takes place, which sounds like it’s directly after the series finale.
I gotta say, even hearing Jesse Pinkman mentioned again gets me all kinds of pumped to see what this thing is. Breaking Bad is hands down one of the best shows ever made and even though it’ll be missing Cranston’s presence (presumably), there’s still SO MUCH they can do with the world that Gilligan and co. created. If Better Call Saul can be a breakaway hit, why not a series of movies? Will I be watching? You’re God Damned Right!
EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE hits Netflix on October 11th, 2019.
