Scooby-Doo gets a 3D makeover in first new images from Scoob!

The Scooby-Doo franchise has been truckin’ along for the past 50 years, but the mystery solving group of Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo will soon be making the leap to the big-screen complete with a 3D makeover. SCOOB!, a new animated film from Warner Bros., will put the mystery machine back in action and Fandango has released a set of new images for your viewing pleasure. The first trailer for the film is expected to debut on Monday.

SCOOB! stars Zac Efron as Fred Jones, Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkley, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne Blake, Will Forte as Shaggy, and Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo, in addition to Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, Kiersey Clemons, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs. The upcoming film will explain how Scooby-Doo and Shaggy first met and how they came to join Fred, Velma, and Daphne in Mystery Inc. Along the way, “they must foil a diabolical plot revolving around a ghost dog known as Cerberus, discovering Scooby’s secret legacy and their own epic destiny.

SCOOB! is set for a May 15, 2020 release.
